Alabama One is a financial service institution serving their growing list of clients since 1951. It is an organization that is equally owned by its members. In 2020, they merged with Alabama Rural Electric Credit Union. Together they have a strong geographical presence expanding across 57 Alabama counties.

Our longstanding customer is perpetually expanding which leaves them continuously coming back for more office furniture solutions. This time round, it was for their new office space in Alabama. The project demanded office furniture for a small reception area and a private office desk space for 4 staff members each of whom needed a personal office space.  

To achieve the desired amount of privacy, our office space planners specified our highly versatile private cubicles with sliding doors and large L shaped desks with drawers.  

These cubicle office desks offer significant flexibility and adaptability in configurations which means they can also be connected by low partition walls, a feature that proved to be particularly valuable in this project. As the position of these private office cubicles are against an office wall with large windows, a spine of low partitions was placed next to the windows to mitigate the obstruction of natural light into the space.

A traditional reception desk would cramp the limited office space available in the reception area, which forced our resourceful office space planners to devise a creative reception furniture alternative: a small cubicle desk with low cubicle walls, a drawer pedestal, and a transaction top. To achieve a homogeneous office aesthetic, the same warm wood laminate and neutral color scheme were specified for this compact reception desk as in the private office cubicles.
